Brinie's Story

Before I joined AYA I was a mess.

I had previously run a successful, service based business and had transitioned into business coaching as a result of covid. When I joined AYA II was stuck in a really negative cycle in my new business and life.

I had revisited all my previous business learnings but that didnt help.

I had joined new business programs for online businesses but that left me overwhelmed and not any clearer.

  • I was overcomplicating so many things in my business;
  • I was judging myself through this lens of perfectionism and not at all being kind and nurturing to myself.
  • I had this expectation that everything had to be perfect instantly and anything less than perfect was deemed to be a failure and not a learning experience.
  • I was trying to be everything to everyone and losing sight of myself. (Solving everyone's business problems, being the perfect mother, being the attentive daughter) I had zero left in the tank for me.
  • I was so scared to show up as myself online,
  • I was overdelivering in my programs, to the point of burnout, and then having to close down to heal.

I honestly started to think I wasn't cut out for business anymore (even though I was serving paying clients)

Then I joined AYA and I had no idea what I was in for.

Although just 1 hour a week, AYA was the most intense 4 months of self-work I have ever done (including crazy gym challenges).

But it has been the very best thing I have done for myself, my family and my clients.

The main areas that I feel had the most impact were:

> Identifying toxic loops that I was getting lost in;

> Money mindset work;

> Limiting beliefs I had about myself, my business and my life that were causing me to operate from a scarcity mindset and not an abundant mindset.

The biggest takeaway after the 4 months was feeling like a whole new person.

I feel like I had emerged (like a butterfly) from this cocoon I had shrouded myself in.

I am far more confident in myself and the value I have as a person (that is not tied to business status or financial gain).

I am more in tune with myself and what I am trying to achieve in this life (my version of success).

I am no longer held back by what others may think of me. I am grounded in my true self and know that I have the skills to solve problems as they arise.

I have embraced my sensitivity and rather than view it as a weakness, I have harnessed my power and understand that this is my superpower.

I was always someone who valued spending money on tangible aspects in my business (website, staff) but in a coaching business, you are the tangible asset , and you need to spend money on yourself (the business asset) in order to move your business forward. No perfect website is going to fix an overwhelmed leader.
